This site is devoted to west coast
swing and hustle, two of the most beautiful and versatile dances one can
experience. One can go to any dance event in the country and
dance these dances socially with virtually anyone, have a wonderful time
and make friends. West coast swing has a steep learning
curve which intimidates some beginners, but once a dancer gets past the
basics, that person is usually hooked. Once a person has gone to
a major dance event and seen Robert Cordoba and Deborah Szekely or Beata
Howe or Charlie Womble and Jackie McGee dancing, that person is inspired
to learn more. West coast swing is akin to learning the piano
- no matter how good a person gets, they can always strive to get better,
learning the seemingly infinite variety of nuances that the dance offers.
